The Mexico City office was opened as a natural extension of the business success that had begun in the Monterrey office. As the world's largest city and the nation's capital, Mexico, D.F.—as it is officially known—is home to the country's main service sectors, including banking and retail, and is the headquarters for most multinationals doing business in the country.
In order to accommodate our continued growth, our Mexico City office just moved to the 31st floor of the Reforma 342 tower. The office overlooks the Angel of Independence, one of Mexico City's most significant monuments. The office is located in a traditional corporate area that is experiencing an accelerated renovation with major projects being developed all around the neighborhood. The design of the office combines a wide variety of workspaces that promote creativity and team work focusing on our staff's wellbeing.
The BCG offices in Mexico City and Monterrey are jointly managed, broadening the professional development, project staffing, recruiting, and administration resources available to each office. Monterrey and Mexico City work together on most projects, an arrangement made convenient through frequent 80-minute flights connecting the two cities. The offices work jointly on strategy, corporate development, consumer goods, marketing and sales, and organizational change work for their predominantly local, private sector clients.
In addition to client work, our consultants work on social-impact projects in support of community efforts in health care and education. A team recently completed a strategic and operational review for one of the country's leading private educational institutions.
