BCG Moscow opened in 1994 and has enjoyed a decade of significant growth in one of the world's most dynamic emerging markets. The office serves a broad base of domestic and international companies located throughout Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). These organizations require high-level strategy combined with hands-on support. BCG Moscow is actively working with Russia's major oil companies, an international energy giant, a few large local retail chains, key fast-moving consumer goods manufacturers, one of the top three telecom players, and companies from key sectors of Russia's and the CIS's economy such as industrial goods, natural resources, and automotive.

BCG actively contributes to the resolution of global social issues and the improvement of our communities. The Moscow office is proud of the work it conducted at the request of the government of Saint Petersburg and the Russian Ministry of Economic Development and Trade for adopting a new tourism strategy designed to make the city one of the leading tourist destinations in Europe. Dubbed "5x5x5," the strategy focuses on the achievement of a singularly aggressive goal: to attract 5 million tourists within five years, to become one of Europe's five leading cities in the tourism industry.

In addition, BCG Moscow does pro-bono work for the not-for-profit sector. Focusing mainly on domestic benefit projects, the office played a significant role in the creation of a sponsorship program for the State Tretyakov Gallery.

Close communication and entrepreneurial spirit continue to characterize BCG's office in the heart of Moscow. Although the native Moscow staff handles the majority of our client work, many projects draw BCG colleagues from the company's global network. BCG Moscow regularly lends staff to other BCG offices.
