No. 8 Jalan Sultan Ismail
50250 Kuala Lumpur MALAYSIA
Since its opening, BCG Kuala Lumpur has outgrown two locations and now occupies the top two floors of Menara IMC, with spectacular views of the city skyline. Located on Jalan Sultan Ismail in the city's Golden Triangle area, the office is within a ten-minute walk of the Petronas Twin Towers and the city park.
BCG Kuala Lumpur is one of four offices in the Southeast Asia system, and our consultants work on projects throughout the region. While this requires traveling for the consulting staff, it also affords them the opportunity to fully experience the region's diverse client and work mix.
Our core clients are represented by both major Malaysian public and private sector companies. Our areas of expertise include corporate development, general strategy, information technology strategy, and organizational and operational change. In addition, we have developed expertise in an interesting blend of public policy work in Malaysia on behalf of government ministries and private sector companies.
Our staff represents a multi-cultural blend of nationalities from not only Malaysia, but Australia, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, and Singapore. This international mix of diverse business backgrounds allows BCG Kuala Lumpur to generate insights that transcend cultural barriers.
We operate in a friendly, mutually supportive, and communicative office environment where open discourse is always encouraged and all opinions are respected and valued.
Befitting a close-knit group, we enjoy a calendar filled with professional-development activities and social events. The whole office comes together the last Friday of each month to reconnect and share our latest experiences. These important yet fun meetings are usually followed by a night of dining and social activities outside the office.
BCG as an organization is very committed to playing a part for social impact, and we are proud of our global partnerships with the World Food Programme, Save the Children, and several organizations in the global health arena. This also resonates within BCG Kuala Lumpur with our staff participating as individuals in a wide array of community service programs. The company also practices a dollar-for-dollar match on all charitable contributions by the staff.
Being part of BCG Kuala Lumpur can provide an enormously rewarding experience. Consultants have the opportunity to work with a fantastic team and important clients on issues of national importance as well as make a real difference to the community through various social programs.

GAYE (Give As You Earn)—Staff from the Kuala Lumpur office set aside a portion of their monthly salaries to go into a fund that BCG matches 1:1. This fund is then regularly sent to three children's homes and goes directly into defraying the costs of caring for these underprivileged children. The office also regularly takes these children on recreational and educational field trips.
The spirit of giving is also very much in evidence in moments of natural catastrophe. Staff have given generously to funding drives for flood and tsunami victims.
We cannot escape our analytical heritage, and have brought that thinking to how the office and staff contribute to GAYE and other causes. We operate on a simple philosophy of 'giving half a dollar for every dollar we get." In essence, we've decided that we will earmark 50 cents for charitable and community purposes for every dollar of budget set aside for office social events.
Government CSR Programmes—The Malaysian government and the government-linked companies (GLCs) are clients of BCG, and we often join forces with them to direct relevant assistance to the community. A recent example is our investment to formulate the GLC-Adopt-a-School plan. In this plan, we prevented GLCs from scattering their CSR efforts, and instead worked with them to prioritize the greatest area of need. We identified education as a cause worthy of consistent support and the Adopt-a-School plan is about GLCs and their staff spending time and resources to ensure the pupils in their adopted school have better access to the right educational tools, environment (classrooms), as well as mentorship.
