BCG's Washington office has enjoyed continuous growth since opening in the United States capital a little more than a decade ago. The office's proximity to the Northern Virginia and Maryland business corridors and to the many branches of the Federal government provides a wide range of client work opportunities for BCG Washington's consulting staff.
The Washington metropolitan area is an international crossroads, a vibrant and cosmopolitan place to live, with numerous cultural and recreational opportunities. The Kennedy Center, The National Galleries, and the Smithsonian are all just minutes away. The scenic beauty of Chesapeake Bay and Virginia's Skyline Drive are just a few hours away by car—but city adventurers often stay closer to home—hiking at Great Falls (just 20 minutes out of D.C.) or even kayaking on the Potomac in Georgetown. The region is home to teams in every major professional sport and to a world-class restaurant scene.
The office's recent client roster has included companies from a broad array of industries including industrial goods, consumer goods, retail, technology and communications, health care, and financial services.
The range of services we provide includes general strategy, postmerger integration work, organizational change, and corporate development, among others. We also partner regularly with public-sector clients to support a variety of projects/causes, including public education, global public health, and environmental conservation. Recent public sector partners include The Gates Foundation, The National Park Service, The Broad Foundation, The Rodel Foundation, Bring New Orleans Back, the World Wildlife Fund plus many others. The office's consultants have worked with clients in numerous locations throughout the country, as well as in Europe, Asia, Australia, and South America.
Our Washington's staff includes individuals with eclectic backgrounds. You're as likely to bump into an atomic physicist or molecular chemist in the hallway as you are to encounter someone with an M.B.A. or J.D. The office has a high-energy environment and everyone shares a commitment to serving clients' varied needs. The staff is equally committed to enjoying a balanced life, recognizing the importance of sharing time with family. As members of the local community, the BCG Washington staff is involved in an active outreach program that includes sponsoring less fortunate families during the holidays, supporting food and clothing drives, participating in the National Race for the Cure cancer fundraiser, and a variety of community projects through the office's affiliation with DC Cares.
