An organization is a formal group of people with one or more shared goals. However, often the goals inside this seemingly homogenous group differ, or influences from outside force the structure or the size of the organization to change. Are human group sizes evolutionary constrained by our cognitive capacity? What is the right size for a group? Brain Size, Group Size, and Language searches for a possible correlation of these three factors. Metaphors are the cornerstone of the Strategy Gallery. In Metaphors We Live By by George Lakoff and Mark Johnson we see how the ordinary conceptual systems that determine how we think and act are largely shaped by metaphors. Small-World Networks explores the context of electric grids to the nervous systems of biological entities. Small-world networks displays characteristics of both highly ordered net-works (e.g., groups of mutual friends) and those of random networks (short path lengths connecting all the points of the network). They also apply the model to dynamical systems such as the spread of infectious diseases and the emergence of cooperative behavior in repeated, multi-player "Prisoner's Dilemma" game.
