by David P. Pinto We often think that decisions are - or should be - a controlled, rational process. All of the relevant information is obtained, analyzed and processed, and then a choice is made. In fact, decisions are often made on partial information. Politics, fear, and greed govern the process at least as much as cold logic. Individuals base choices on their own needs, or those of the organizations they represent, rather than the institution for which the decision is nominally made. The materials in this collection depict decisions and the many processes by which they are made. On Counsel War and Peace |
