We Invite Your Contribution to the BCG Strategy Gallery

The Strategy Gallery is a forum for enriching the discussion of strategy within BCG through the exchange of ideas and strongly welcomes content submissions from BCG employees. All contributors whose submissions are accepted will be acknowledged on the Web site. If you have an idea for a text, a picture, or a strategic theme to contribute to the Gallery, please contact us!

The Gallery presents a range of materials that offer "strategic" insights (broadly defined). Thus, anything that examines dynamic interactions and outcomes or the complex mechanisms underlying familiar phenomena would be a good candidate for an exhibit. The aim is to stimulate thinking through the exploration of non-business topics as metaphors for business, strategy, life, etc. The metaphorical link to business is usually not made explicit in the exhibit - it is up to the readers to make the connections and draw their own lessons.

Good exhibits often contain a surprise or a twist that opens up new perspectives. Exhibits should not be too technical - they should be accessible to intelligent non-specialists. All texts should be in English and should be no more than about 2,000 words in length. The majority of exhibits are comprised of excerpts from existing texts: books, articles, lectures, as well as images and interactive games. It is not necessary to write an original article for the Gallery. Each piece is accompanied by a short summary that introduces the exhibit and places it in context. The Gallery's staff will be happy to work with you to develop promising ideas.

The Gallery contains materials drawn from all the following disciplines:
