As an organization seeking solutions to improve the state of the world through collaboration between business, academic, and government leaders, the Forum pursues many activities throughout the year. In our strategic partner role, we advise the Forum on several collaborative projects focusing on specific issues that will shape the world in the years to come.
Some of our most recently completed projects have focused on workplace wellness, global talent mobility, mobile financial services, and risk management.
BCG is a founding member of the Forum's Global Alliance for Workplace Wellness, and we have been working with the Forum for several years to support the development and implementation of wellness initiatives in the corporate workplace. This alliance aims to share best practices in fostering wellness, as well as contribute to a new database on workforce wellness.
Our work with the Forum on the issue of global talent mobility resulted in a report, Global Talent Risk—Seven Responses. The study highlights the most pressing talent gaps and risks that businesses will face in 2020 and beyond, across 25 countries, 13 industries, and nine occupational clusters. It follows an earlier Forum report that BCG also worked on, Stimulating Economies Through Fostering Talent Mobility.
The Mobile Financial Services Development Report that we produced in collaboration with the Forum looks at the specific ways that countries can meet the financial needs of underserved populations. The report measures the critical factors necessary to achieve meaningful scale of mobile financial services and meet the needs of billions excluded from the formal economy.
We also worked with the Forum to publish Rethinking Risk Management in Financial Services, a report that underscores the need to tighten risk management strategies in light of the financial crisis. The publication takes an innovative approach to the issue by exploring other domains in search of lessons that might help the financial services industry better monitor and manage the global financial system.
We are currently collaborating on several new projects with the Forum. Topics include sustainability, China's globalizing companies, responsible mineral development, noncommunicable diseases and incentives for healthy living, personal data, opportunities in emerging-market financial services, and a continuation of our work on mobile financial services.
