BCG regularly participates in the World Economic Forum's regional events in Africa, East Asia, Europe and Central Asia, India, Latin America, and the Middle East, which take a closer look at many of the critical issues these areas face.
For example, BCG sent a full delegation to the 2012 World Economic Forum on Latin America in Puerto Vallarta, where we joined more than 850 participants from business, government, and civil society to discuss the overall transformation of the region in the current global context.

During the event, BCG led several panel discussions—on topics such as modernizing Latin American cities and leveraging technology and innovation to achieve national objectives—and cohosted an event with Google to highlight our latest Connected World report.
At the 2012 World Economic Forum on Africa, which took in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia,, BCG was among the leaders exploring issues such as strengthening Africa's leadership, accelerating investment in frontier markets, and scaling innovation for shared opportunities.
And at the 2012 World Economic Forum on East Asia in Bangkok, BCG moderated a session on “A New Brand of Consumer," related to our work on the Forum's “Connected Transport" project. We also led a workshop on "Strategic Infrastructure."
These events—and the other regional forums held throughout the year—have proved to be extremely valuable as this influential global community continues to help guide the future and turn visions into actions.
