Diversity Programs at BCG

Creative thinking, cutting-edge strategy, and a focus on impact are the heritage of BCG. They are what enable us to deliver exceptional results for our clients.

We believe that a diverse organization—in terms of people, perspectives, backgrounds, and experiences—differentiates us and drives our advantage. Consequently, we place tremendous emphasis on attracting, developing, and retaining diverse talent at BCG.

We are committed to making BCG a company in which all individuals have an opportunity to flourish and succeed, regardless of their background, ethnicity, gender, or sexual orientation. We have found that such an environment makes BCG not only a better place to work, but also better able to meet the needs of our clients.

Bridge to Consulting Workshop and Externship Programs

BCG's Bridge to Consulting and Externship programs seek a group of highly talented members of the Black1 and/or Hispanic2 student community who will relish the opportunity to experience life as an Associate at BCG. If you want to push your outstanding academic ability and leadership skills further in a business environment, this program is for you. You will gain an in depth understanding of management consulting as well as exposure to our teams, our work, and our culture.

The BCG Bridge to Consulting program consists of an intensive two day workshop that is open to students who will be graduating as part of the Class of 2015 and 2016. The workshop will take place May 29-30, 2014, in our BCG Chicago Office. Hotel, travel, transportation, and meal costs for this program are funded by BCG.

First round interviews for the Externship (students from the class of 2016 are eligible) will take place during the workshop as part of the Bridge to Consulting event. The BCG Externship program consists of a week-long non-paid in-office experience where students will work with and be a member of a BCG case team.

The Externship program is open to students graduating in the Class of 2016. At the end of the week-long externship, students will have a final-round interview for a summer internship position in a participating BCG US office. Travel and transportation for the Externship are funded by BCG. The Externship will take place in August 2014; exact dates will vary by office.
