Our Amsterdam office serves both Dutch multinationals and a variety of medium-sized companies. Our consultants work on projects ranging from corporate development to strategy in industries such as consumer goods, energy and utilities, financial services, and technology and communications.
BCG Amsterdam is an active participant in our international Ambassador Program. Not only does it host ambassadors from other BCG offices all over the world, but also offers its home consultants the opportunity to (temporarily) transfer and gain experience in other BCG offices.
Our office fosters a culture that encourages professional challenges, development, and teamwork. The atmosphere is open, flexible, and lively and leaves room for individuals with diverse backgrounds and characters. Although we all take our work very seriously, there is also plenty of room for fun. Throughout the year, you can participate in many activities that BCG Amsterdam has to offer, such as sport tournaments, a skiing trip, the annual Fall Outing, and our New Year's party.
Our office is situated on the Gustav Mahlerlaan 40, 1082 MC in Amsterdam.

We are looking for top performers from any academic discipline to join us, whether you are currently pursuing a master’s degree, MBA or PhD. We also welcome those who have already graduated and are currently working. In all cases, your starting position will depend on your education and experience. Alternatively, you can apply for an Internship. You can apply to our office throughout the year.
The application procedure begins with a review of your materials by the recruiting department. To be able to evaluate your application, you need to provide the following information:
In case you have any special information you want to share with us, or other additional comments on top of your CV, you can upload these in a document in the 'cover letter' field. Otherwise a cover letter will not be used as part of the selection.
Your online application allows you to apply for positions in all of our offices. You may apply to up to three offices simultaneously, and your application will be sent automatically to those offices you specify.
Most BCG offices require fluency in the local business language. Please check the language requirements on the local web pages of your preferred office(s). For the Amsterdam office it is mandatory to be fluent in both Dutch and English.
Our recruiting process consists of two interview rounds, built up out of different components. It is designed to get to know you and evaluate your consulting skills, but also to give you a clear idea about BCG and consulting.
The first interview round, which usually takes place on a Friday afternoon, consists of two case interviews and an online case. The second round, which takes place on a Thursday or Friday one or two weeks after your first round, is built up out of two additional case interviews and a written assignment. During the written assignment you have two hours to answer a number of questions based on the data provided. After two hours you present your findings.
The case interviews are conducted by BCG consultants that are trained to extract the relevant information from the dialogues. The cases are based on real projects that they have worked on. This will give you an insight into what it is like to work at BCG, and allow us to focus on how you would solve practical business problems.
On the day of the interview, relax and be yourself.
