Neil Soderlund

Senior Advisor

Everyone in a health care system stands to benefit from tracking outcomes. Doctors and other professionals want to know the best way to treat patients. Patients want to know they're getting the best treatment possible. Governments want to be able to justify spending increases and decreases.

Neil  Soderlund

Neil Soderlund is a senior advisor to The Boston Consulting Group, leader of the firm’s Health Care practice in Australia and New Zealand, and Asia-Pacific lead for big data and advanced analytics.

Since joining BCG in 2000, Neil has supported both public- and private-sector health-care organizations to help them understand their industries and reshape their strategies. He pioneered the value-based health-care offering, which has evolved into The International Consortium for Health Outcomes Measurement (ICHOM).

Driven by his duel passions for health care and analytics—and the ways in which they overlap—Neil supports BCG in its work to design and execute change across a broad range of health care, governmental, financial services, and technology organizations.

Neil has published more than 40 articles on health economics, econometrics, epidemiology, and health care financing. He sits on a number of editorial boards.

Before joining BCG, he was a manager with Abt Associates.
