Outside of BCG's energy industry, Sönke has focused on projects with a commodities exchange, in mining, and with a sugar refinery and other clients from the agriculture industry.

Sönke joined BCG in 2005, and he has more than a decade of experience in management consulting and project management.

Sönke has worked for major power and gas utilities in Europe on benchmarking and feasibility studies, as well as on risk management and trading-floor concepts. He also recently developed the operational model for a gas wholesale and trading company in Central and Eastern European and designed the trading and sales demarcation and interface for a major utility.

He has also worked with other clients on strategy, business models, trading, market analyses, transfer pricing, risk modeling, and process design and optimization.

Outside of the energy sector, Sönke's work has included projects with a commodities exchange, in mining, and with a sugar refinery and other clients from the agriculture sector.

Before joining BCG, Sönke was a project coordinator at the Maltheon research center in Berlin.
