Konrad von Szczepanski

Konrad von Szczepanski is a core member of the Global Advantage and Industrial Goods practice groups at The Boston Consulting Group. He is the metals and mining productivity topic leader for Central Europe, Middle East and Africa, and Asia-Pacific.

Since joining the firm in 1992 (Konrad left BCG in 2002 and returned in 2013), he has acquired deep experience advising clients in the metals and mining sector. Konrad’s particular area of expertise centers on the aluminium industry, where he has dealt with a broad range of topics, from bauxite mining to primary metal.

His passion for the metals and mining sector is born of nearly 16 years’ experience in the industry, during which he has consulted and worked for many of the world's leading companies on six continents.

Before rejoining BCG, Konrad was vice president of strategy and development, aluminium, with BHP Billiton.
