Max Hauser joined the Munich office of The Boston Consulting Group in May 2005. In 2008 and 2009, he worked in the BCG Moscow office as part of the firm's Experience Russia Program. His primary field of interest is financial services, and he is a core member of BCG's Financial Institutions, Insurance, Strategy, and Global Advantage practices.
Max has focused his work on the fields of strategy development, sales force effectiveness, and business transformation. He has extensive experience in banking (especiallyretail and corporate banking), insurance, and investment funds, having completed more than 50 BCG project assignments in Western Europe, Eastern Europe, CIS, and Asia.
While at BCG, Max has developed long-term strategic visions for various leading banks and insurances in Russia, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan. He has helped investment funds define their investment focus and governance models. He has supported several financial institutions players in entering and exiting markets within CIS.
Before joining the firm, Max held jobs at A.T. Kearney, Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, and Ernst & Young, among other firms. Max is fluent in English, French, and Russian, in addition to his native German.
