Andris Umblijs joined The Boston Consulting Group in September 2015. He is a core member of the Marketing, Sales & Pricing practice. He has expertise in most marketing topics, including efficiency and effectiveness, returns optimization, econometrics, and brand identity.
Andris has extensive knowledge of marketing in Europe, US, the Middle East, and Africa, and he has experience in marketing effectiveness projects across the consumer goods, consumer electronics, finance, automotive, pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, and retail sectors.
Prior to joining the firm, Andris worked at McKinsey & Company, Accenture, and Kellogg. He also founded Initiative Consulting, a marketing analytics unit within the Interpublic Group, and he cofounded Accenture Marketing Analytics.
Andris contributed to several patents that have already been granted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and to other patent applications as well in the areas of marketing channel optimization and modeling marketing data.
He speaks English, Latvian, Russian, and basic German.
