Jean-Paul Petranca

UK University Recruiting Director

Jean-Paul joined BCG in November 2010, having previously worked at Bain & Co, Deloitte Consulting and a start-up software business. He graduated from Balliol College, Oxford in 2000 with a BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics. Jean-Paul is focused on the Media practice area and has worked with clients across television, newspapers, digital media and online travel since joining BCG.

Lucy Kemp

UK University Recruiter

Lucy is the UK, university recruiting coordinator for BCG, having joined the recruitment team in May 2015. She previously worked for a boutique recruitment firm for over 2 years as a candidate manager placing strategy and management consultants onto freelance projects. Lucy holds a BSc in Psychology from Leeds University.

Ellie Sykes

International Senior Recruiting Coordinator

Ellie Sykes joined BCG in the London office as the International Recruiting Coordinator in July 2015 and she works on the campaigns for the London Business School and other UK universities. Ellie joined BCG after 2 years recruitment experience at NP Group and Taylor Root. She graduated from the University of Durham with a BSc (Hons) in Music.

Oli Ashby

International Recruiting Manager

Oli Ashby joined BCG's International Recruiting Team in January 2014 and is based in the London office, where he works on the campaigns for London Business School and other UK universities. Prior to BCG, he headed up the Recruitment & Admissions Team for the full-time MBA at London Business School. Oli spent 5 years in total at LBS recruiting candidates from all regions and working with companies who sponsor MBA students. He is an alumnus of London Business School's Emerging Leaders Programme and a graduate of Oxford Brookes University in History and Politics.

Kate Harman

London Head of Recruiting

Kate joined BCG's London Recruiting Team in December 2011. Kate heads up the recruiting function and is responsible for managing the team and overseeing our consulting hiring via the University, MBA and Industry channels. Before joining BCG, Kate headed up the Graduate Recruitment department for a US Law Firm based in London. Kate spent 6 years designing and implementing an award-winning graduate training programme before changing sectors into Management Consulting. Kate graduated from the University of East Anglia in Business Management.

Application Process

Full time positions (Associates and Senior Associates)

Our selection process is rigorous. Firstly, you need to apply online and attach your CV, cover letter and transcripts. Our autumn recruiting online application is open from 14th September to 27th October 2016. Successful applicants will pass through a CV review, and will be invited to first round interviews. We require an outstanding academic record (a minimum of 2:1 degree or equivalent), plus evidence of excellence in non-academic and extra-curricular activities.

The first round consists of a 45-minute face to face case based interview and a written math test. At the second round, you will have two 45-minute face to face case based interviews and final round will consist of two-three 45-minute face to face case based interviews with Partners and senior Principals of the London office.

Summer Internships/Visiting Associate Positions

BCG London offers a summer internship programme for penultimate year students and details can be found on our local website. The application period for penultimate year students interested in summer internships in the London office opens on 1st January 2017 and closes on 28th January 2017. Firstly, you need to apply online and attach your CV, cover letter and transcripts. Successful applicants will pass through a CV review, and will be invited to first round interviews. We require an outstanding academic record (a minimum of 2:1 degree or equivalent), plus evidence of excellence in non-academic and extra-curricular activities.
