Jörg Erlebach

Jörg Erlebach has more than 15 years of leadership experience in risk management. Jörg is a core member of The Boston Consulting Group's global Financial Institutions practice and coleads BCG's global Risk Analytics team. He is also a member of the Corporate Development practice.

He is also a member of BCG's Gamma Team, which creates competitive advantages for organizations by unleashing the power of signals hidden deep within large and complex data sets. BCG's Gamma Team conceptualizes, builds, and deploys advanced analytic solutions that can transform the trajectories of organizations in 12 to 24 months.

Throughout his career, Jörg has held various leading management positions within the risk functions for large German banks. Joerg's responsibilities have included credit and operational risk controlling and reporting, risk measurement methodologies, risk portfolio management by means of limit systems, allocation and management of internal and external capital requirements, and group risk communication.

His project experience includes developing risk-steering frameworks, credit factory processes, and statistical modeling analytics; analyzing regulatory and economic risk; implementing and optimizing Basel II and Basel III risk measurement, processes, and tools; capital management; and risk-department responsibility for execution of mergers and aquisitions.

He is currently a board member of FIRM, The Frankfurt Institute for Risk Management and Regulation.

Prior to joining BCG, Jörg worked as a divisional board member of risk controlling and capital management at Commerzbank, as a managing director of credit risk analytics and instruments at Eurohypo, and as project manager of group risk management at Deutsche Bank and Commerzbank.
