Tom Lutz currently serves as the vice chairman of Boston Consulting Group's Consumer & Retail practice, as well as the global leader of the newly formed Private Equity Portfolio Value Accelerator. Formerly, Tom served as the global leader of the Consumer practice, the global leader of the firm's work in large scale change (M&A, PMI, TURN, transformation, and zero-based budgeting), managing partner of the South System (Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, and Miami), and the North American leader of BCG's Principal Investors & Private Equity practice.

Since joining BCG in 1992, Tom has worked extensively with retailers, restaurants, hotels, packaged goods companies, and private equity firms. Tom's client work has focused on growth strategy, consumer insight, portfolio strategy, M&A/due diligence, and post-merger integration. Prior to joining BCG, Tom worked for Arthur Anderson & Co., where he consulted for a variety of businesses on operational and strategic issues.
