Curtis Is a Courageous Explorer

Knowledge Analyst, Shanghai

At BCG, Explorers are unafraid to embark on new journeys. They try new solutions to untangle complex problems and drive transformational change. Curtis has the courage to take action.

The best part of working at BCG is you never know what and who you will work with the next day. The uncertainty keeps the fun, and challenge!

In Curtis’s Words

Prior to joining BCG, I studied international relations and economics in undergraduate and graduate school. After a brief working experience in the nonprofit/policy research sector, BCG introduced me to the business world.

I joined the firm as a knowledge analyst with the Global Advantage practice, focusing primarily on emerging markets and related topics, such as global operations and outbound M&A. In the past year and a half, working in my KA role, I have constantly experienced new opportunities and challenges in my day-to-day work. Here at BCG, I am put on a steep learning curve where I am encouraged to accumulate knowledge and form insights on emerging markets via a variety of approaches: handling daily requests from case teams, supporting proposal and case work, or driving targeted research work.

My involvement in an outbound M&A report really sums up my BCG experience. From drafting company surveys to conducting expert interviews, developing report content, and following up on the market launch, the nine-month ongoing effort exposed me to some of the most brilliant minds and sparkling thoughts in the business world.
