Emil Is an Imaginative Explorer

Project Leader, Copenhagen

At BCG, Explorers are unafraid to embark on new journeys. They try new solutions to untangle complex problems and drive transformational change. Emil connects the dots to see the bigger picture.

Every day brings new and exciting learning opportunities, in a dynamic and agile setting. There is no place I would rather work.

In Emil’s Words

My background is in finance, with a solid quantitative toolbox. Instead of pursuing a career in the financial sector, I quickly realized that my path should be within consulting. I knew that consulting would offer me the opportunity to be exposed to a vast range of different industries and work within a variety of strategic and operational topics. That knowledge, along with the global coverage of BCG, the unique BCG brand, the flat hierarchy, and last but not least the people—all made me certain that BCG was the only place for me.

The firm has overdelivered on all my expectations, and every day is a new adventure with new and exciting challenges and opportunities to create a solid impact and help shape the future for our many clients.

About Emil

Emil holds a master’s degree in finance, with a strong focus on quantitative analytics from Aarhus University.

Q: How has BCG helped you grow and succeed?

A: Every step at BCG—whether as a new associate or a senior project leader—brings new and exciting challenges, and the learning curve is steep on all levels. BCG puts people and their development first. You learn through the many great scheduled training programs and your cases, and you grow through the constant feedback (informal and formal) that you receive from your peers, your teams, and your partners.

Q: What do you like most about your job?

A: I would say three things: 1) being able to create an impact for our clients and watch them succeed; 2) working within a very dynamic team made up of highly professional colleagues; and 3) knowing that every day poses new and exciting challenges.

Q: What characteristics do you believe define a BCGer?

A: High integrity, top engagement, and the extraordinary drive to always strive for delivering the best in every aspect of what we do.
