Meghna Is an Imaginative Explorer

Project Leader, Boston

At BCG, Explorers are unafraid to embark on new journeys. They try new solutions to untangle complex problems and drive transformational change. Meghna connects the dots to see the bigger picture.

The best thing a BCG mentor told me was to make sure I stayed on the cutting edge of what was happening in medtech. That expertise is what our partners need from us, and that's what our clients are demanding.

In Meghna’s Words

How I define myself has changed so dramatically throughout my career and my personal life, but one thing that seems to remain constant is my laser focus on solving problems and my super curious nature. BCG was a really good fit for me from the start. I joined as a knowledge expert in the Health Care practice after spending about 12 years in the medtech industry. On top of getting paid to learn, be curious, and solve problems, I get to work with the smartest people in the world. It's truly inspiring and fun! I recently moved over to the “expert career track” after realizing that I really enjoy being client-facing and want to continue to develop my expertise both internally and externally. Each role, each case, and each interaction adds tools to my arsenal and helps prepare me for life's future challenges.

About Meghna

Meghna has a BS in biomedical engineering from Cornell University, an MS with high honors in biomedical engineering from Case Western Reserve University, and an MBA from Babson College’s F.W. Olin School of Management. Before BCG, she worked in strategic marketing, portfolio planning, engineering, and business development at C.R. Bard, Philips Healthcare, and Cambridge Heart.

Q: What do you like most about your job?

A: We are helping to solve our client's toughest challenges while working in an environment that is fun and inspiring. I love that kind of environment and find myself working harder to solve a problem because I'm just really interested in it. I also really love how everyone at BCG has a great attitude and strong work ethic. It's the culture here: people care. With very little tolerance for politics, we can focus on driving real impact in the most effective way possible.

Q: How do you maintain a sustainable career balance at BCG?

A: It comes back to defining the job that you want and making that happen at BCG. I am clear about what I can offer and what I can't. I work hard to manage my time, break down my day into focused blocks, and try not to get too fragmented.

Q: What are some of your favorite things to do outside of the office?

A: I love to cook; my family participates in four different farm shares over the course of the year, so I'm always on the lookout for new and creative recipes to use up my shares! I mostly cook on weekends in large batches, so we can have leftovers during the week.
