Julio Gomes is a core member of the Technology Advantage and Financial Institutions practices at The Boston Consulting Group, and he leads the Technology Advantage practice in South America.
Julio returned to BCG at the beginning of 2016, having left as a principal in 2009. He has deep experience working with a broad category of clients across the financial services sector, retail, and military services. Furthermore, over his more than 25 years of professional experience, Julio has worked across several continents, notably South America, North America, Europe, and the Middle East.
Prior to join BCG, Julio worked in several organizations. He was the director of the international network, international CIO, and America’s COO for Banco Sabadell. He also worked as vice president of business development and initiatives for Walmart Latin America. Before that, he was CIO and COO of Unibanco (now Itaú-Unibanco). Julio has served as a Brazilian Air Force Reserve Officer for almost 10 years.
In his work with clients, Julio is passionate about the coordinated role people and technology play to transform organizations. Julio strongly believes that people's attitudes and motivation make the difference between a successful transformation and mediocre one.
