Reiko Akiike

Reiko Akiike is a core member of the Energy and Public Sector practices at The Boston Consulting Group. She leads the firm's Public Sector practice in Japan. Reiko’s work in energy focuses on the power and utilities sector.

Since joining BCG in 2006, Reiko has worked closely with clients in energy and public area. She is a well-known turnaround specialist in Japan, with a record of completely successful large-scale turnaround projects. She has held influential posts on various government committees.

Reiko is an expert in strategy development and implementation, change management, business turnaround, and scenario planning for clients in the infrastructure and energy industries.

Prior to joining BCG, Reiko was a managing director at the Industrial Revitalization Corporation of Japan (IRCJ), a government-sponsored private-equity fund tasked with revitalizing the Japanese economy. She also worked at the Kirin Brewery Company.
