Simon-Pierre Monette

Principal, Montréal Recruiting Director

Simon-Pierre Monette is a Principal in BCG’s Montréal office, which he joined in 2013. At BCG, Simon-Pierre focuses primarily on strategy and operations in the energy and industrial goods practice areas. His case experience includes developing a greenhouse gas emission management strategy for a national oil company, developing a cross-utility tariff structure for a sustainable city, and developing the strategy and business plan for a renewable energy investment company and an OEM in the power sector. Prior to joining BCG, he worked at Alstom in the power generation industry, based in Switzerland, and also worked as a Project Manager at Booz & Company’s Dubai office. Simon-Pierre holds a B.Eng. from McGill University, an M.Sc from École Polytechnique and an MBA with distinction from INSEAD. Outside of work, Simon-Pierre enjoys cycling, running, skiing, travelling and gourmet food. He was once an elite triathlete and completed a marathon in 2h 45min.

Chloe Marceau-Gosselin

Associate, McGIll Captain

Chloe is based out of the Montréal office, where she started full-time in September 2014 after a summer internship in 2013. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University, with concentrations in Marketing and International Business, and graduated on the Dean's Honour List. As a student, she was particularly passionate about case competitions and now coaches students for national competitions. She is fluent in both English & French, knows conversational Spanish, and started learning Italian during a student exchange at Universita Bocconi in Italy. At BCG, she has worked both in the Consumer and Industrial Goods industries, with projects ranging from global strategies to operational plant improvements and macroeconomic analyses. About 50% of her work was local while the other half was in Europe and the US. She is also involved in social impact work as a mentor for Pathways students.

Mathilde Bertin

Recruiting Assistant

Mathilde joined BCG in July 2015 as a Recruiting Assistant. She supports the recruiting efforts for outside of Ontario schools at both the associate and consultant level. Prior to working for BCG, Mathilde worked in HR for a leading North American home improvement retailer, as well as the Canadian Executive Service Organization (CESO), where she helped match First Nations entrepreneurs and small businesses with volunteer advisers based on their organizational needs and stages of growth. While pursuing her BA degree at McGill University in Montréal, Mathilde also interned as a community health and conservation volunteer in Uganda. Growing up, she lived in Asia, Europe and Canada, and is fluent in English, French, and speaks Nepali and Spanish. In her spare time, Mathilde enjoys outdoor activities, reading, traveling and spending time with her Welsh Terrier.

Lawrence Kuo

Recruiting Partner

Lawrence Kuo is a Partner in BCG’s Toronto office. He joined the firm as an Associate in 1999 after working as a Mechanical Design Engineer at a startup in the Silicon Valley. Since joining BCG, Lawrence has developed strategies to enhance growth, drive operational efficiency and restructure organizations. He has also managed client relationships across telecom, media, consumer goods and pharmaceuticals. In 2007, Lawrence left BCG and joined Rogers Communications. Lawrence first joined the strategy group at Rogers as the Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Planning. In this role, he worked to develop and implement key strategic initiatives across the Wireless, Cable and Media companies. Lawrence subsequently held the position of Vice President, Video Product Management where he was responsible for delivering $1.9B in video revenue. After spending almost 6 years with Rogers, Lawrence returned to BCG as a Principal in 2013. He holds a Bachelor of Science from Queen’s University, a Master of Science from Stanford University and an MBA from Columbia University. When not at work, Lawrence enjoys running, skiing, playing piano and spending time with his wife and two daughters.
