Vinay Shandal is a core member of The Boston Consulting Group’s Financial Institutions; Principal Investors & Private Equity; Corporate Development; and People & Organization practices. He leads the shareholder activism topic in Canada.
Since joining BCG in 2009, Vinay has worked with clients in North America and Europe across numerous sectors, including payments, retail and commercial banking, private equity, pension funds, and the public sector more broadly. His project experience has covered topics including business unit and enterprise strategy, digital strategy, operating models, agile transformation, pricing, big data, transaction support (M&A), activism support, and regulatory strategy.
Before joining BCG, Vinay practiced law for several years in the New York offices of Cravath, Swaine & Moore and Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz. His legal experience includes both private and public company mergers, acquisitions, strategic alliances, and investments in a range of industries.
Vinay is also a board member of Capitalize 4 Kids, a nonprofit that aims to solve the toughest challenges in children's brain health and mental health.
