Anne Is a Collaborative Explorer

Recruiting Manager, Amsterdam

At BCG, Explorers are unafraid to embark on new journeys. They try new solutions to untangle complex problems and drive transformational change. Anne empowers and inspires others.

In Anne's Words

Looking back at my almost ten years on the recruiting team of BCG, it’s the people who have shaped my experience the most.

BCGers come in many different characters but what they all have in common is a thirst for knowledge, an insatiable appetite for learning, and a passion for working with people. I have worked with people with very diverse educational and cultural backgrounds, in many different roles, but I have never met a colleague I couldn’t admire for what he or she brings to the table. I learn every day from working with these people, and it provides me with a unique opportunity to keep developing myself and to grow both in my career and in my personal life.

About Anne

Anne is the recruiting manager of the Amsterdam office and works partly for our European recruiting team. She holds a degree in both business administration and hotel management.

Q: What do you like most about your job?

A: I love working with young inspiring people who are constantly trying to improve our ways to attract the most talented strategy consultants in the market. It is a privilege to be able to offer top talent a career with steep learning curves in such an inspiring working environment.

Q: If you weren’t working at BCG, what would you be doing?

A: If I weren’t working at BCG, I would love to work in the hospitality industry. I get very excited when I can deliver an amazing experience to clients—something I try to do within BCG in my interactions with candidates, both in the application process and after they start.

Q: What are some of your volunteer or charitable work experiences?

A: What I like most about the corporate responsibility activities of BCG is the grassroots initiatives of my Amsterdam colleagues. BCG encourages people to take on initiatives that they care about. I have colleagues who opened a library in Africa, organized an auction during lunch to raise money to help fight Ebola, and helped the local opera house with a strategy for a group working with children to choose their career path.
