In my work life, what I care about most is growth. At BCG I found a fast career path I could not have found anywhere else.

Thiago

In Thiago’s Words

At BCG, I found a career platform I could not have found anywhere else. From day one, I have worked closely with partners and senior client executives, learning a lot from them and also contributing.

I feel I am constantly making a difference. Even if you have recently graduated, you will find the space at BCG to share your perspective and ideas on relevant challenges. In addition, the pace of development is unequalled. Over the course of a few years, I took advantage of the many opportunities that I had at BCG—international transfers, multiple industries, multiple topics, MBA, and more—and I am now happy to be in a senior leadership position.

BCG has been an intense and exciting journey.

Q: If you could compare what you do with any other job, what would you say?

A: It is sometimes difficult to explain what we do to friends or family. So I like to compare our work with that of a physician—a good one, at least! We diagnose an issue, develop a solution tailor-made to the individual, and we follow up on developments. One crucial difference is that we are jointly responsible for making change happen with the client, many times actively participating in the implementation.

Q: How has BCG helped you grow and succeed?

A: You have all the resources to grow professionally. You have challenging and interesting tasks, people around you who want to help you develop, and many interesting career path options.

Q: What does being a mentor mean to you?

A: One of the best parts of BCG is being able to help others develop and actually see how fast young BCGers grow in little time. It makes me very happy to know that my tips and advice have made a difference for those individuals.
