David Is an Insightful Pioneer

Principal, Oslo

At BCG, Pioneers have the courage to take action on unique insights. They share and activate ideas that enable our clients to gain the competitive edge. David finds clarity in a complex world.

We as humans are our own greatest limitation. This is why it is important to never get (too) stressed or (too) nervous. This will only limit your performance. Be great instead.

David

In David’s Words

I joined BCG after my master's degree at NHH, and I didn’t really know what to expect. Now after more than five years, I feel BCG is everything I could have hoped for and more.

Traveling the world supporting business leaders on their most complex problems is very exciting but also very challenging. I have really appreciated the variety of industries and functional topics I have been exposed to while working at BCG. It has allowed me to create my own path and has provided me with fantastic professional and personal development.

Combining this with working shoulder to shoulder with the some of the smartest, most engaged, and friendliest people around—both my BCG colleagues and our clients—I often feel privileged arriving at work and inspired when I leave.

For me, it is the combination of these factors that makes BCG unique.

Q&A

Q: What’s your home office environment like?

A: I feel that the BCG office in Oslo is a very friendly environment. This is a place where I meet my colleagues and friends. Although it is a place of business, there is a lot of humor. It is also a place where I feel that everyone’s voice is heard. There is room to state your opinion, and your opinion is heard.

Q: What do you like most about your job?

A: The variety of the work that I get to do—working across industries on a variety of different topics. No project is ever the same.

Q: What characteristics do you believe define a BCGer?

A: A true BCGer is smart, open, and honest. He or she cares about the impact of the work that we do and not about personal recognition.
