World Economic Forum

The World Economic Forum engages leaders from all facets of society—business, politics, academia, and beyond—to shape global, regional, and industry agendas and drive positive change. As a strategic partner of the World Economic Forum, BCG joins a select group of 100 global companies closely aligned with the forum's commitment to improving the state of the world.

Membership in the World Economic Forum is limited to 1,000 of the most influential companies worldwide, representing all sectors and regions.

Like our fellow members, BCG attends the renowned annual meeting of the Forum in Davos as well as its Meeting of the New Champions in China—and its many regional meetings.

As a strategic partner, we do even more. The World Economic Forum taps BCG's people and insights for its collaborative projects, publications, and global communities. The goal of this work is to improve policy making, inform business decisions, share best practices, and engage stakeholders.

STRATEGIC PARTNER

BCG helps set the agenda for the World Economic Forum's Davos and other meetings, which convene thought leaders to discuss society's problems and explore solutions.

We also collaborate with the World Economic Forum to drive projects targeting critical issues facing business and the world. We capture the insights we help discover in reports published by the World Economic Forum.

PROJECTS

We are currently collaborating on five new projects with the World Economic Forum, exploring a broad spectrum of topics including self-driving vehicles, construction, and internet access.

SECONDEES

Since 2007, BCG has been providing consultants to work as "secondees" with the World Economic Forum. Secondees play key roles in researching topics and helping to manage projects—from initial research and analysis, to multistakeholder input and feedback sessions, to completion and publication of any related reports.

They are considered staff of the World Economic Forum and help prepare their team for presentations to high-profile groups of global and regional leaders at official meetings, including at Davos.

In 2016-2017, five BCG secondees are working with the World Economic Forum on five different projects.

WEF GLOBAL COMMUNITIES

BCG engages in a number of communities organized by the World Economic Forum to focus on specific regions and areas of interest. The members of these networks commit both their time and talent to making the world a better place. The communities bring together member and partner companies as well as leaders from civil society, enabling personal interactions and collaboration.

BCG staff and alumni have been invited to join some of the World Economic Forum's most innovative communities making the most significant contributions. Here, we highlight their involvement by the numbers.
