Carolina Is a Passionate Ally

Associate, Buenos Aires

At BCG, Allies bring a sense of collaboration and excitement to their teams. They create an atmosphere of trust and support in which people can do their best work. Carolina champions uncommon ideas.

The best part of working at BCG is that every day is different: new challenges appear and we work as a team to face them.

In Carolina’s Words

My background is in business administration, and the reason I was really attracted to BCG was the diversity of industries and practice areas I could get to work in. It's really hard to describe a typical day here as every day we are trying new things.

When I joined BCG, I had recently graduated, so it was a real challenge to face senior clients and complex industry problems with no previous experience. However, the great team spirit and the knowledge of our consulting staff made it really easy to get started. I truly believe the quality of people working at BCG is what makes this place unique.

About Carolina

Carolina holds a business administration degree from Universidad Católica Argentina, where she graduated with honors.

Q: What characteristics do you believe define a BCGer?

A: Teamwork is definitely a key differentiator. BCG is not about individuals working alone, but about finding new solutions and perspectives as a team. Analytical skills and intellectual curiosity are also essential. We are constantly encouraged to challenge existing ideas and find new solutions to solve strategic problems for our clients.

Q: What was one of your favorite case experiences?

A: One of my favorite case experiences was with a leading payment company in Argentina. We had to develop a strategic plan definition for the next three to five years, designing an implementation plan with a set of initiatives and also designing the organization to face this huge challenge. Innovation, trends, and international examples were essential in building this ambitious plan. This topic was definitely a priority in the CEO's agenda, so I was able to work and share ideas with the top management of the firm—which was a truly valuable experience.

Q: What groups or organizations have you been involved with at BCG?

A: BCG does not only create value in the private sector but also in the social sector. There are a wide variety of social impact projects you can work on. I think this has an enormous value for two reasons. First, it allows you to share with other BCGers activities that generate high personal satisfaction. For instance, every year we organize teams to help with the construction of a house for an NGO called Techo. Second, it gives you the chance to apply everything you learned to a social cause and generate a lasting impact that really changes people's day-to-day lives.
