Youchi Kuo on CCI’s Proprietary Data in China
Youchi Kuo is the lead expert for The Boston Consulting Group’s Center for Customer Insight in Asia-Pacfic, supervising all in-house consumer and market research activities at BCG Greater China and steering the firm's development in the region. She is also a core member of BCG’s Consumer, Marketing, Sales & Pricing, and Global Advantage practices.
Youchi typically runs three waves of consumer research each year and advises on all consumer-research activity related to BCG China, while advising teams in other Asia-Pacific countries. Since Youchi joined the firm in 2006, her research has covered a wide range of industries—including consumer products, financial services, and health care—and many different demographic segments.
Youchi’s research topics have included a close look at China's health-and-wellness market, the definition of China's new affluent class, and the identification of winning strategies for the rapidly growing China e-commerce market. She has helped uncover a growing willingness to “trade up” among China’s small-city middle-class consumers.
Before joining BCG, Youchi worked in the office of the CEO at Primax Electronics, where she helped drive annual strategy and implement key cross-unit processes to improve operational efficiency.
