Carolyn Is a Collaborative Visionary

Principal, Dallas

At BCG, Visionaries navigate complexity with ease. They use their insight and intuition to identify the solutions that will create lasting impact. Carolyn empowers and inspires others.

The best part of working at BCG is the relationships you develop with the people around you. It’s so cliché, but our people are our greatest asset.

In Carolyn’s Words

My background is in education. I did Teach For America out of undergrad and worked in education reform. BCG has allowed me to explore different industries and functions both within and outside of Education. I have worked with luxury retail, telecom, and utility clients across a set of topics including IT, marketing, and transformation. On each project, I have learned a ton on a new topic and have had the opportunity to develop meaningful relationship with my clients. In addition, in my time at BCG I have found many internal mentors who have continuously supported and challenged me.

About Carolyn

Prior to joining BCG, Carolyn was a high school math teacher with Teach For America. Carolyn earned a BA in psychology from Duke University, where she was an All-American soccer player, and her MBA from the Fuqua School of Business.

Q: What do you like most about your job?

A: No doubt about it—I love the problem-solving aspect. There is nothing more satisfying than bringing clarity and direction to a problem. (Besides the people, of course!)

Q: What characteristics do you believe define a BCGer?

A: BCGers are very diverse. We value all different types of characteristics and strengths. However, a set we have in common is commitment to driving value for our clients, intellectual curiosity, and being humble.

Q: How have you benefited from a mentoring relationship at BCG?

A: A partner in the Dallas office has been a mentor for me since before my interview. He has shown me the ropes at BCG, looked out of me, and has been very honest in providing feedback. It is invaluable to know I can go to someone with career (and life) questions and also to know that someone has my back.
