Jürgen Schwarz is The Boston Consulting Group’s global leader for corporate banking, including micro, business, commercial, corporate, and commercial real estate banking. He is also a member of the global leadership team of the firm’s Financial Institutions practice and a core member of BCG’s People & Organization and Marketing, Sales & Pricing practices.

Since joining BCG in 1991, Jürgen has worked with clients in North and South America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia on large-scale transformations; numerous strategy, organization development, and implementation projects; and major assignments in wholesale and retail transaction banking and capital markets. He has extensive experience in sales-force-effectiveness programs, risk and value management, all back-office processes and functions, and achievement of operational excellence. Over the last 15 years, he has focused on how to generate organizational culture change and changes that drive high performance.

Before joining BCG, Jürgen worked in corporate and investment banking for a leading US money-center bank. He also served as global head of corporate finance for a multinational company in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
