Kazutoshi Tominaga

Kaz Tominaga is a core member of the Industrial Goods practice of The Boston Consulting Group, with a special focus on the automotive sector.

Kaz’s recent project experience spans work with both Japanese and US automotive companies. For example, he has been involved in developing open innovation products and services in a next-generation mobility program, working in conjunction with BCG Digital Ventures, for a major automotive OEM. His other experiences span technology roadmapping, fuel-cell strategy, regional scenario development, and project management office (PMO) roles serving automotive firms.

In addition, through the course of 15 years, Kaz has acquired experiences in strategic work in the domains of powertrain, drive train, chassis, and body components for both OEMs and Tier1 suppliers.

Prior to joining BCG in 2013, Kazutoshi worked at Booz & Company in the engineered products and services practice, at Roland Berger, and as a product development engineer at Toyota Motor Corporation.
