Kiyofumi Kaneshiro joined The Boston Consulting Group in 2006. In 2009, he worked in the firm’s Dusseldorf office.
At BCG, Kiyofumi works primarily with clients in the pharmaceutical and medtech sectors. He has led several major BCG projects with a biopharmaceutical company, including mid- and long-term strategy development, commercial model transformation, launch strategy development, sales and marketing strategy development, and R&D productivity enhancement.
He has also lent his expertise to projects in drug pricing strategy and negotiation and to global vaccine strategy development for a global pharmaceutical company.
In addition to his work with medtech, biotech, and pharma, Kiyofumi has worked with companies across all sectors, including life insurance and consumers. He contributed to the BCG report, Winning Consumers Through the Downturn.
Before joining BCG, Kiyofumi, who has a doctorate degree in oncology and genome science, worked as the lead researcher for a Japanese government-sponsored oncology project at Tokyo University.
