Lisa Is a Curious Innovator

Project Manager, Global Knowledge Management & Collaboration, San Francisco

At BCG, Innovators view the world from unexpected angles. They bring creativity and a fresh perspective to every challenge they face. Lisa goes deep to understand challenges.

The most interesting and memorable experience I've had at BCG was establishing a brand new team in India. Seeing a distant idea turn into reality was really incredible.

In Lisa’s Words

When I started at BCG ten years ago, I knew that it was a great place to work and full of possibilities, but I never imaged how much I would grow and evolve here. Because of BCG, I was able to move from Boston to San Francisco while expanding my career across a variety of roles and functions, ranging from finance to human resource to knowledge management. You often hear people say that you can make this role what you want it to be, and it has truly been the case for me.

But what makes BCG even more unique is the people and the culture they've created. I work with exceptional global teams that constantly challenge, teach, and inspire me. Ten years later, I still feel lucky and proud to be a part of this great community.

Q: What do you like most about job?

A: There are two elements that I like most about my job. One, I appreciate the caliber of people I work with. They are extremely intelligent and have great ideas, helping me grow and feel inspired. Second, I like the projects I get to work on. They are always changing, from setting up a new team to redesigning our intranet.

Q: What is a typical day like for you?

A: One of the best parts of my job is that I do not have a typical day. BCG taught me to be flexible and adaptable, because I often need to shift my priorities. My typical day includes working with global teams, thinking on my feet, and being challenged.

Q: What international experiences at BCG have been the most interesting for you?

A: It is hard to choose one experience. All of the teams I've ever worked with have been global, and when you have a rare chance to all be in one room with colleagues from China, Germany, the US, France, etcetera, it is extremely enriching. Everyone brings different experiences to the table and has unique ideas to contribute. It is really a neat experience.
