Henning Streubel on Upstream Transformation
Henning Streubel is leader of The Boston Consulting Group’s Energy practice on the US West Coast and the firm’s global topic leader for upstream transformation and stakeholder management. He is also a core member of BCG’s Operations, People & Organization, and Strategy practices and a member of the firm’s global Energy Practice Operating Committee. He previously led BCG’s Bangkok office.
Since joining BCG in 1999, Henning has worked closely with energy businesses in the Asia-Pacific region, West Africa, the US, and most of Europe. His experience with utilities and with national and international oil companies has covered a wide range of strategic, organizational, and operations-related engagements, including support function optimization, process improvement, portfolio review, building of organizational capabilities, corporate strategy development, sustainability, and crisis management.
Henning has particularly deep experience with the energy market landscape in Asia, having helped a number of companies design and implement strategies to grow in China. He has worked extensively in the public sector, supporting governments and regulators in building national energy policies.
Henning speaks frequently at industry conventions and executive education programs. Before joining BCG, he was a project leader at the strategic management consultancy INDUSTRAT in Yverdon, Switzerland. He was also a consultant for DFGWT, a French-German network for technology transfer in Lyon, France.
