Mathieu Zajdela is a core member of the Energy practice at The Boston Consulting Group.
Since he joined BCG in 2010, Mathieu has advised national and international oil companies around the world. He has deep expertise in energy strategy, with a particular focus on downstream oil.
For Mathieu, being an expert at BCG is about supporting local teams to quickly get up to speed on complex issues. Even after 25 years in the oil business, he feels he learns new things every day from these teams and from clients that bring expertise and fresh perspectives on local markets and issues. At BCG, he says, there is always someone to ask “Now what? What does this mean in terms of value creation?” and it is through such interactions that he feels he helps create value as an expert.
Prior to joining BCG, Mathieu was the founder of the downstream oil division of PFC Energy, since acquired by IHS.
