  • The Boston Consulting Group has compared the results of the U.K.’s 2011 Civil Service People Survey with our database of similar surveys covering more than 1 million workers from all walks of life around the world. The results are very revealing—in some U.K. Civil Service organizations, for example, fewer than one in five employees would recommend their place of work. As the U.K. government strives to deliver much more and much better with much less, its leadership must not delay in addressing low morale—and hence low productivity—among civil servants.
