Jason Guggenheim joined the Boston Consulting Group in 2001 as a consultant after practicing as an attorney for 3 years in Johannesburg, South Africa. Jason studied at the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg and received an undergraduate degree in finance and economics and a graduate degree in law from Oliver Schreiner School of Law at the University of the Witwatersrand.
After leaving BCG in 2002, Jason took a strategy/corporate development role in the Ventures group at Delta Air Lines. In 2004, Jason joined a 4 person team, led by the then-CFO of Delta Air Lines, who took on the restructuring of the bankrupt independent energy provider Mirant Corporation.
Following the emergence from bankruptcy of Mirant Corporation, Jason returned to BCG in 2007 to further his interest in strategy, travel and tourism, and turnaround work. Over the past few years, Jason has focused on cruiseline and airline work, serving clients in both the US and Europe.
Andy Levine is a Project Leader in the Miami office. He joined BCG as an Associate in the Miami in 2008. During his time at BCG, Andy has worked primarily in Consumer industries, specifically Travel and Tourism and Retail, in a variety of functional areas, including strategy, operations, and marketing. In addition to his role in recruiting, Andy is also actively involved in BCG’s LGBT Network.
Andy holds his MBA from Harvard Business School and his BA in Mathematics from Yale University, graduating Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa, and with distinction in the major.
Bao Tran-Phu, Associate in the Atlanta office, joined The Boston Consulting Group in 2013 after graduating from Duke University with a BS in Economics and a Minor in Neuroscience. Since joining, Bao has worked in a variety of industries and functional areas, predominantly in the Travel and Tourism sector.
While still at Duke, Bao was a neurobiology research assistant, working to find novel ways to introduce hearing to deaf patients. He was also a DukeEngage summer intern in Vietnam. In 2012, Bao worked with BCG as a Summer Associate, helping a telecommunications company improve its distribution channels.
Bao enjoys soccer, photography, and traveling. He joined BCG to gain exposure to a variety of industries and to further his understanding of all aspects of a business
Danielle Hinton, PhD, is a Principal in the Washington, D.C. office and received her BS, MEng and PhD degrees all from MIT in Electrical Engineering and a BA from Cambridge University, UK, in Theology and Religious Studies. Prior to joining BCG, she spent summers at Bell Laboratories, MIT Lincoln Labs, HP and TI in advanced network design, wireless networking R&D, and DSP R&D. At BCG, Danielle's client work is focused on telco and high-tech clients. Her projects range from portfolio and capital investment strategy and operations to large scale change and org design. Danielle is also focused on recruiting and mentorship within the Ethnic Diversity Cadre, and training within the Advanced Degree Cadre. Outside of work, Danielle enjoys scuba diving, working out, reading, music, and relaxing on the beach.
Theresa Hagel, Project Leader and Head of America's LGBT Recruiting, first joined BCG as an Associate in the New York office in 2007. She spent 2009 in the Vienna office and joined the San Francisco office after business school in 2012. Theresa has worked across industries and has been closely involved in the PTO initiative and LGBT Network since joining the firm. She received her MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and holds a BS in Economics summa cum laude, with a minor in Psychology, from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Theresa likes yoga, following sports, and city traveling.
Susan joined BCG as a Consultant in 2008 and was promoted to Project Leader in 2010. She then moved to her current role as both the Fuqua School Captain and the Women’s Initiative Recruiting Director. In her Women’s role, she is responsible for working with all North America offices to attract talented women by supporting women throughout the recruiting process. Prior to BCG, Susan worked as an Investment Risk Consultant, earned the CFA charter, and helped found a charter high school in Chicago. Susan holds a Master of Business Administration with honors from Duke University with a certification in Health Sector Management. She graduated summa cum laude from Valparaiso University where she received a bachelor's degree in Decision Sciences.
