Ketil Gjerstad leads The Boston Consulting Group's Corporate Development practice in the Central Europe and Middle East region, including the Nordic countries. He is a European topic expert for shareholder value and end-to-end M&A. He is also a core member of the firm’s Consumer and Industrial Goods practices; an expert in the forest products, paper, and packaging sector; and a member of BCG's global agribusiness interest group. In addition, Ketil is part of the leadership of the firm’s Transaction Center.
Since joining BCG in 2000, he has focused mainly on topics related to large-scale change programs, growth and portfolio strategy, and M&A transactions and integration. Ketil has worked with clients in agribusiness, paper, payments, oil and gas, and consumer and retail companies in the Nordic region, Europe, Russia, Asia, and the US. He has also worked extensively in the aluminum sector.
Ketil focuses his efforts on helping clients unlock their value potential in business planning, transformation, new growth, M&A and integration, and shareholder communication. Ketil is also a core member of BCG’s private-equity team in the Nordics and has supported more than 60 commercial due diligences for industrial and financial investors.
