Katharina Rick joined the Düsseldorf office of Boston Consulting Group in March 2004. She is a core member of the firm's Energy and Operations practices and focuses on the oil and gas upstream topic, on oilfield services and equipment, and on engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC). She has experience in operations, lean management, transformation, strategy and planning, mergers and acquisitions, and postmerger integration.

Katharina has worked for the firm in Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and North America. She is now a member of BCG’s San Francisco office.

Her expansive project work has included streamlining the overhead functions of a Middle Eastern national oil company and a major international oil company, collaborating with numerous government agencies to formulate a national development strategy for liquid natural gas production, and managing the integration of two EPC firms into a full-service provider of onshore oil and gas and utility services.

Katharina supports and sponsors female colleagues in our Energy Practice; she is the global leader of WE! – Women in Energy! since 2012. She has a broad range of interests in STEM education for women and non-profits that bring women into work.
