Nic Gordon is a core member of The Boston Consulting Group’s Technology Advantage and Financial Institutions practices, and he is an expert in data governance and enablement.

Over the course of his career, Nic has led numerous complex, multiregion strategy and data architecture delivery programs, helping companies implement solutions that address issues of data management, business intelligence, data visualization, and advanced analytics. Notably, he developed a data strategy for conduct risk at a universal bank, utilizing big data tools to rapidly identify impacted clients, products, and transactions from historical data sets going back ten years.

Nic also established a robust, data-centric risk function for a global bank, with comprehensive analytical credit risk reporting informing all aspects of product and pricing. In addition, he designed the solution architecture of an “enterprise information gateway” to manage the bank’s enterprise data that would support operations, finance, and risk management.

Prior to joining BCG in 2014, Nic held senior positions as chief data officer for a major UK bank, global head of business intelligence and analytics for a major UK bank, global head of data services for a Swiss banking group, and global head of data strategy and architecture for a Japanese bank.
