Soon Ahn came to The Boston Consulting Group in 1998. He is the Korea node for BCG’s Corporate Development practice and a core member of the firm’s Industrial Goods practice and chemicals, energy, and engineering topics.

During his 14 years at BCG, Soon has engaged in a variety of assignments for domestic energy, chemical, and construction plant clients, focusing on business strategy and development.

Soon’s work at BCG has included securing M&A and joint-venture deals to accelerate implementation for a conglomerate in the Asia-Pacific region; developing the business plan for a green business; processing an M&A, joint-venture, and licensing deal for a conglomerate in the Asia-Pacific region; and assisting with a Korean energy company’s market-entry strategy for Southeast Asia.

Soon has also made significant contributions to several BCG reports on the chemical industry.
