Asbjørn Kastaniegaard leads the Principal Investors & Private Equity and Corporate Finance & Strategy practices for Boston Consulting Group in Denmark. He is the Nordic lead for private equity portfolio value acceleration. Asbjørn specializes in growth strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and reorganization. He joined BCG in August 2019 bringing over 20 years of operational and advisory experience earned at A.P. Møller-Maersk and Bain & Company.

Asbjørn works with leading local, regional, and international private capital investors on buy- and sell-side transaction work, portfolio company value acceleration, and fund investment strategy. In addition, he works with clients in the climate and building materials sector, helping them add value through sustainability-enabled growth strategy, M&A, and reorganization.

Before joining the firm, Asbjørn was Vice President, Head of Long Term Equity Investments, at KIRKBI A/S, the holding and investment company behind LEGO.
