José Fornell is a core member of BCG TURN, the turnaround and transformation practice at Boston Consulting Group. José joined BCG in 2017 and has substantial experience in the telecommunications industry where he has developed plan-level profitability models, pricing policies, weekly cash flow models, and strategic plans, and has served as part of interim management teams in charge of restructuring businesses in the landline, satellite, wireless, and cable businesses. 

At BCG, José has also worked on cases involving liquidity crisis management clients in pre-bankruptcy and bankruptcy scenarios. He led the development of a cost-saving initiative for a state’s department of education that resulted in a 16% expense reduction 

In addition to the telecommunications industry, José has advised companies in the logistics, dairy, helicopter leasing, highway construction, manufacturing, and pharmaceutical research industries. José has passed the Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor (CIRA) certification exams from the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors (AIRA). Before joining the firm, he was a Director at Alvarez & Marsal.
