Hemant Kalbag joined Boston Consulting Group in 2015. He is a core member of the firm’s Consumer practice area.

Hemant has extensive expertise in the retail sector. He has over 18 years of consulting and industry experience in consumer-facing sectors.

In his time at BCG, Hemant has worked with clients on many projects involving cost transformation, growth strategy, category transformation, and supply chain strategy, among other retail topics. His clients have included personal care and luxury companies, as well as organic foods and hypermarkets. Hemant has also worked with numerous clients in Asia on transformation and strategy.

Recent examples of Hemant’s casework include a merchandising improvement project at a leading convenience store chain, including channel strategy and cost reduction efforts; and a transformation project for a leading organic foods company, including strategy and multiple transformation initiatives.

Prior to joining the firm, Hemant was a partner at A.T. Kearney in New York, Mumbai, and Singapore.
