Jay Venkat’s client work at The Boston Consulting Group focuses on financial services, specifically operations, organization, and marketing and sales. He leads BCG’s Technology Advantage practice in North America and has served as recruiting director for the firm’s Boston office and ambassador to BCG’s offices in Germany.

In his projects, Jay has assisted global asset managers, diversified financial services companies, and other large entities, including worldwide technology, consumer goods, and software players.

He has designed and implemented transformation programs, conducted an enterprisewide delayering process to improve organizational efficiency, and designed and carried out a lean methodology program. He has assessed sales force effectiveness and conducted both market analysis and deep consumer study to understand spending patterns. Jay contributed his expertise to the 2014 BCG report Global Asset Management 2014: Steering the Course to Growth.

Before joining BCG in 2003, Jay worked for Halliburton in Egypt as a field engineer and for British American Tobacco in India as a technical manager.
