John Ranz joined Boston Consulting Group as a Consultant in 2013. He is active in the Corporate Development & Strategy practice area, and is experienced in growth strategy and M&A.

John works with clients in many sectors including diversified industrials, automotive, med tech, financial services, and the public sector. He generally supports CEO-level topics, with most of his projects focused on growth and transformation, including corporate strategy, M&A (buy-side and sell-side) and business unit strategy. 

John has led buy-side due diligence efforts on multiple potential targets across industry verticals for both strategic and financial buyers in support of transactions with enterprise values up to $5 billion, and managed the M&A target landscape assessment for a diversified industrial company, resulting in multiple acquisitions and an additional $100 million of EBITDA to date. John serves as Regional Learning & Development trainer for new hires through managers for the Chicago area.
